We want to hire a code enforcement officer who is fair and responsible. This person will be in charge of enforcing laws about things that are causing problems in our city. They should have a good relationship with the community and other people who work for the government. Some of their tasks will be keeping track of parking, handling dangerous dog cases, removing dead animals from public places, going to court, and writing search warrants. They might also have to help direct traffic and keep records of everything they do.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving and walking around to check for problems and make sure people are following laws about animals, parking, and other issues.
- Going to places where there are illegally parked or abandoned cars and doing things like giving out tickets, putting things on cars to stop them from moving, or having them towed away.
- Enforcing rules about bikes and taxis.
- Answering and investigating complaints from people.
- Dealing with issues like stray or noisy dogs, dog bites, and animal abuse or neglect.
- Taking injured animals to the vet and trying to find their owners.
- Keeping track of what they do by writing things down and keeping files.
- Helping people on the phone or in person when they have questions.
- Taking care of equipment, animal cages, and vehicles.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete a two-week training course about laws at a Criminal Justice Academy and be allowed to carry a weapon.
- Finish a two-week course at the National Animal Control Association Training Academy.
- Pass a lie detector test, drug test, and checks of your credit and criminal background.
- Be available to work when the weather is bad, be on call, work at different times of the day, and work on weekends and holidays.
- Be able to work alone at night.
- Not be afraid of things like cleaning supplies, animal waste, and animal bites.
- Be physically fit and able to move around easily.
- Know the layout of the county and how the streets are set up.
