Job Description

We are looking for a passionate civil rights attorney with excellent communication and negotiation skills. As a civil rights attorney, you will provide legal advice to clients, inform them of their options, and represent them in court. You will also be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting research, negotiating settlements, and filing appeals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients and providing legal advice.

  • Keeping clients updated on the progress of their case.
  • Effectively communicating with clients, judges, and other lawyers.
  • Conducting research and analyzing evidence.
  • Preparing and conducting depositions.
  • Filing legal motions, appeals, and briefs in a timely manner.
  • Negotiating settlements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Juris Doctor Law degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • Experience or expertise in a specific interest group may be preferred.
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and ethical standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys.
