Job Description

We are looking for a Chief Invigilator who can effectively coordinate the activities of invigilators during exams. This includes assigning tasks, answering questions about exam policies, and keeping track of attendance. The Chief Invigilator is also responsible for making sure all test materials are accounted for before they are taken to the designated drop-off location.

To be successful in this role, the Chief Invigilator must strictly enforce all test regulations and perform administrative tasks without causing distractions for the test-takers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizing the distribution of invigilation duties.
  • Meeting with invigilators before each test to assign tasks and communicate expectations.
  • Providing students with the necessary rules and procedures at the beginning of each test.
  • Taking attendance and checking students' identification.
  • Answering questions from students during the test, if needed.
  • Addressing any rule violations that may occur.
  • Verifying the number of test materials against the number of test-takers.
  • Resolving any discrepancies before leaving the test venue.
  • Transporting test materials and additional resources to designated locations.
  • Coordinating the collection of test materials by examiners.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Prior experience as a Chief Invigilator.
  • Extensive experience with invigilation.
  • A valid driver's license for safe transportation of test materials.
  • Strong delegation skills.
  • Ability to be highly visible without disrupting the test-takers.
  • Highly organized, determined, and diplomatic.
  • Availability for invigilating after-hours exams.
