Job Description

We are looking for a chemical engineer who is creative, cooperative, and has a strong understanding of technical and industry knowledge. This person will work both in the office and on location to implement, analyze, and improve processes, equipment, and plants. They will also collaborate with other engineers and team members from diverse backgrounds to understand project goals, propose solutions, and assist in implementing and troubleshooting plans as projects progress.

The successful candidate for this role should have knowledge in their field, be a good communicator, have good observation skills, be organized, and be committed to reaching project goals. They should also have strong interpersonal skills, be able to manage their time effectively, and have good presentation skills.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Using scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing, and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Observing production processes, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Using computers to compile and analyze data.
  • Establishing safety and waste management procedures.
  • Traveling to work sites and locations to learn about project needs and design, implement, troubleshoot, test, and improve processes, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assisting with establishing budgets and timelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A bachelor?s degree in chemical engineering is required.
  • Additional education or experience may be preferred.
  • Industry-specific knowledge may be required.
  • Certificates or licenses may be required or preferred for some positions.
  • Strong understanding of chemistry, mathematics, biology, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate with others, especially those without a technical background.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
