What does a Chauffeur do?

A chauffeur, also known as a personal driver, is someone who drives and transports clients to different locations. They typically offer their services to wealthy individuals or companies.

Job Description

We are seeking a well-presented chauffeur to join our team. As a chauffeur, your main responsibilities will include picking up clients, driving them to their desired destinations, and keeping the vehicle in good condition. You will also be expected to assist clients with loading and unloading their personal belongings.

To excel in this role, you should be able to address any concerns or complaints from clients in a timely manner. A great chauffeur will also make sure that the vehicle is stocked with any items that might be useful to clients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contacting the company or client to arrange pick-up times and locations
  • Greeting clients in a professional and friendly manner as you open the car door for them
  • Helping clients with loading and unloading their belongings, as needed
  • Adjusting the temperature in the car, if requested by the client
  • Choosing the most efficient routes using GPS and traffic updates, unless instructed otherwise
  • Completing pick-up and drop-off tasks on behalf of the client, if requested
  • Following all traffic laws and regulations
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle
  • Addressing and resolving any questions or concerns from clients

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A valid driver's license
  • A commercial driver's license (CDL) may be preferred
  • Authorization to transport passengers by car
  • Previous experience as a chauffeur or taxi driver
  • Familiarity with GPS software and local traffic updates
  • A well-groomed appearance
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
