Job Description

We are looking for a skilled carpet installer to remove and install carpets for our clients. Your responsibilities will include meeting with clients to discuss their carpeting needs, giving them quotes, and installing new carpets according to their specifications. You may also need to remove and dispose of old flooring.

To be successful as a carpet installer, you should have a good understanding of carpet fitting techniques, pay attention to detail, and be physically fit. A great carpet installer gives accurate quotes and completes installations to industry standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand their carpeting needs.
  • Show clients different carpet samples to choose from.
  • Measure rooms and create specifications for the carpets.
  • Provide clients with accurate quotes based on room size and carpet prices.
  • Order carpet from the warehouse and schedule an installation date with the client.
  • Process service orders and stock notes.
  • Remove old carpets and flooring.
  • Measure and cut carpets to fit the room.
  • Secure carpets to the floor, stairs, or wall using glue or staples.
  • Finish edges with a wall trimmer and fix any imperfections.

Requirements and Qualifications
