Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Dentist to join our team. The main responsibilities of this role include performing routine and complex dental procedures based on patients' needs and concerns. This may include both treatments to improve oral health and cosmetic procedures to enhance the appearance of teeth, gums, and bite. The Associate Dentist will also develop treatment plans, keep accurate records, and answer patient questions. They may also supervise technical and administrative staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose and treat oral health issues.
  • Using X-rays and computer-generated imaging to assist with examinations.
  • Providing dental treatments such as cleanings, extractions, fillings, and cosmetic procedures like teeth whitening, bonding, and applying crowns, caps, and veneers.
  • Administering local anesthesia when necessary.
  • Educating patients on good oral hygiene and aftercare for dental procedures.
  • Screening for oral cancer.
  • Prescribing medication as needed.
  • Sterilizing all instruments and equipment before use.
  • Taking impressions for mouthguards and dentures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or doctor of medicine in dentistry (DMD) degree.
  • State license to practice dentistry.
  • CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in a dental practice.
  • Proficiency with dental instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
