Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic asphalt laborer to join our team. Your main role will be to help with the pouring, smoothing, and setting of asphalt for roads and parking lots. This includes tasks such as delivering water to equipment, preparing tools, measuring and marking the area, and keeping the work site clean. This job may require you to work long hours, weekends, holidays, and at night.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Unload equipment and gather tools for the day's work
- Transport tools and equipment to the work site
- Move machinery to the designated area
- Keep the work site clean and organized
- Measure and mark the area for paving
- Direct traffic as a flagger
- Deliver water to equipment
- Assist with paving process and equipment
- Shovel material as needed
- Clean up and pack equipment at the end of the day
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an asphalt laborer or flagger
- Knowledge of road and traffic regulations
- Ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and at night
- Willingness to travel for work
- Physical stamina to work long hours in various weather conditions
