We are looking for a skilled architectural drafter to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to work with lead architects to create accurate drawings from rough sketches and estimates. You will also provide necessary information to contractors and approval bodies. Other tasks include checking the accuracy of drawings from colleagues, ensuring builders follow the plans, and preparing presentations for clients.
To excel in this role, you should have excellent skills in computer-aided drawing tools. The ideal candidate will also have a keen eye for detail, strong communication and collaboration abilities, and be skilled in hand drawing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather all necessary information for accurate drawings
- Use CAD software to create detailed drawings
- Update and check the accuracy of designs
- Visit sites for research and to ensure construction workers follow plans
- Coordinate with drafting teams and technicians
- Consult technical handbooks and tables
- Create colored drawings and scale models for client presentations
- Compile technical reports
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least an associate's degree in architectural drafting
- A bachelor's degree in architecture is a plus
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong drafting skills
