Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team and keep our aircraft safe. This role involves conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, making repairs, and performing upgrades on aircraft.
To be successful in this role, you should have a deep understanding of aircraft structures and mechanical components. You must also be able to work well under pressure and have excellent time management skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing, and reassembling aircraft engines
- Installing electrical circuits
- Testing communication, aircraft, and electronic instruments and systems
- Testing and replacing oxygen system components
- Assembling aircraft frames
- Conducting routine preflight inspections of engines and mechanical systems
- Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance work
- Keeping company facilities and equipment in good condition
- Ordering necessary parts and supplies
- Adhering to safety procedures and FAA regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
- An Associate's or bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance technology
- FAA certification
- 30 months of training under an FAA-certified mechanic or through the Armed Services
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of aviation and power tools, computers, diagnostic equipment, and x-ray machines
- Flexibility to work long hours
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
