Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled acute care nurse practitioner to care for our patients with critical conditions. This role may involve working in inpatient or outpatient settings, discussing medical options with patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with patients, families, and physicians to create treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of acute conditions, diagnostics, and treatments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Talking with patients to understand their concerns, needs, medical history, and condition.
  • Admitting and discharging patients, as well as checking on them during scheduled rounds.
  • Conducting examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and discussing results with patients and physicians.
  • Creating care plans and prescribing medications or other treatments.
  • Educating patients and their families about their medical condition and treatment options.
  • Keeping detailed records of patient history, condition, progress, and treatment.
  • Alerting physicians to any changes or abnormalities in a patient's condition.
  • Participating in on-call rotations, which may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A master's or doctorate degree and state license are required.
  • Prior experience, additional certifications, or fluency in a second language may be preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of acute conditions and treatments.
