At Texas School for the Blind & Visually Impaired (TSBVI), we are dedicated to providing high quality educational opportunities for all blind, visually impaired, and DeafBlind students in Texas. Our mission is to serve as a leading center of expertise and resources, working in partnership with schools, families, communities, and organizations to transform educational outcomes for students ages birth to 22.

Since our founding in 1856, TSBVI has been a leader in developing expertise related to visual impairment and blindness. We are constantly striving to innovate and eliminate barriers to learning through our instruction in all areas of the Core and Expanded Core Curriculum. Our dedication to excellence has helped us earn recognition as one of the best statewide educational systems for blind, visually impaired, and DeafBlind students in the nation.
