The Community FoodBank of New Jersey is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty in the state. Our mission is to assist those in need and work towards sustainable solutions to end hunger. We are committed to engaging, educating, and empowering all members of society to join us in this battle.
Our organization was founded with a simple yet powerful goal - to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with FOOD, HELP, and HOPE. We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food and the support they need to overcome hunger and poverty.
With over 40 years of experience, we have become the largest anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization in New Jersey. We serve as a vital resource for individuals and families struggling to make ends meet, providing them with the food they need to thrive. Last year alone, we distributed over 50 million pounds of food, serving over 900,000 individuals in all 21 counties of New Jersey.
But our impact goes beyond just providing food. We also offer a range of programs and services to help our clients break the cycle of poverty. These include nutrition education, job training, and assistance with accessing government benefits. We also work closely with community partners to address the root causes of hunger and advocate for policies that will improve the lives of those we serve.
At the heart of our organization are our dedicated volunteers and staff, who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of others. Their passion and commitment have helped us become a leader in the fight against hunger and poverty in New Jersey.
We are also grateful for the support of our generous donors and partners, who make it possible for us to continue our mission. Together, we are making a real impact in our communities and helping to build a brighter future for those in need.
