BEAM Circular is a leading organization in California's agricultural heartland, dedicated to building a thriving regional ecosystem for the circular bioeconomy. Our mission is to transform waste from food and agricultural systems into economic and environmental opportunities, while fostering collaboration and innovation in the North San Joaquin Valley.
At BEAM Circular, we understand the importance of partnerships and collaboration in driving the circular bioeconomy forward. That's why we have launched the BioEconomy, Agriculture, & Manufacturing (BEAM) Initiative, bringing together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to scale the most promising innovations in bioindustrial manufacturing. This initiative focuses on access to capital, infrastructure, talent development, and cross-cutting partnerships, all aimed at advancing the circular bioeconomy.
Founded in January 2023, BEAM Circular is a result of the Stanislaus 2030 inclusive economic development partnership. Since then, we have been working closely with local communities and a growing network of state and national collaborators to align resources, policy, talent, and collaboration. Our goal is to make the North San Joaquin Valley the best place in the world to bring bioproduction solutions to scale.
One of our key initiatives is the Circular Bioeconomy Innovation Collaborative (CBIO Collaborative), which we co-lead with UC Merced and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This collaborative has received a prestigious NSF Engines Development Award and is focused on accelerating the circular bioeconomy through research, development, and commercialization of new technologies.
At BEAM Circular, we are committed to driving economic growth while also promoting sustainable practices. By transforming waste into valuable resources, we are creating a more circular and resilient economy. We believe that the circular bioeconomy has the potential to not only create jobs and boost the economy, but also to reduce waste and environmental impact.
