Are you a creative, entrepreneurial producer with a passion for business storytelling?
We're hiring a Video Producer to lead the charge on a fast-growing YouTube channel focused on telling fascinating stories about people, companies, and the internet economy. This role offers the chance to produce YouTube content that blends education and entertainment, with ownership across concept development, production, and delivery. Working closely with content strategists and industry experts, you'll gain firsthand experience at the intersection of YouTube and business.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boston. Our client is open to New York-based candidates willing to travel to Boston a few times a month.
What You'll Do
- Lead the production of YouTube content from ideation through post-production
- Own the pre-production process: pitch stories, write scripts, scout locations, prep shoots
- Direct and capture shoots (often as a solo producer-shooter)
- Work with editors to shape footage into high-performing YouTube videos
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and strategists to align creative with channel goals
- Manage production timelines and deliverables with autonomy and accountability
- Stay on top of YouTube trends and optimize storytelling accordingly
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience producing video content end-to-end, with a strong portfolio
- A love for business, big ideas, and turning technical topics into engaging stories
- Organized, proactive, and self-directed you thrive owning your projects
- Strong storytelling instincts and on-set leadership
- Experience shooting content (bonus if you're familiar with Sony FX3/FX6 or similar)
- Must be based in Boston, NYC, or open to relocating
Nice to Have
- Background in YouTube, doc-style storytelling, or editorial video production
- Experience working with remote editors or managing small production teams
- Comfort directing talent on camera
