Youth Baseball Coach

Little Rookies is a fast growing youth sports program that focuses on introducing younger children to the great sport of baseball. Little Rookies uses an educational baseball platform that interests young children and introduces the beautiful game of baseball through metaphors, "story telling", and fun activities to convey basic baseball skills and life lessons such as sportsmanship and teamwork in a context the kids can easily relate to.

We are looking to add qualified, experienced early childhood teachers and baseball coaches to our program. Coaches will have the opportunity to work with individuals and groups ages 2 - 10 years throughout multiple locations.

Essential Duties:

• Showing up on time to class, physically and mentally prepared
• Interacting with young children, parents, teachers, directors, caregivers
• Equipment set-up and break-down
• Provide individual attention and give specific instructions while remaining physically distant from children and their families

Opportunities:

Schedules will vary but class times will typically fall between :

Monday-Friday: 2pm - 6pm (Depending on the location you live)

Weekend Classes : 9am - 1pm

Compensation: Starting rate $25 an hour upon completion of coach test. Higher rates up to $35 will be reviewed in relation to experience.

Requirements

• Passion for working with children and improving their physical literacy, gross motor skills, and socialization skills!
• Baseball/Softball knowledge
• Comfortable working with toddlers as young as 2 years old
• Must have reliable transportation as all programs are run at local schools and parks
• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with children and parents
• Must be punctual (classes are held after school in the afternoons and children are counting on you)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
