Welder

Parallel Employment Group is currently hiring Welders to join our team.

This mill position is expected to achieve targeted results in safety, production output and product quality. The Technician will operate various pieces of equipment and will perform a variety of duties to prepare material for storage or shipment

Shift: 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

Wage: $21.25 per hour

Welder Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Set up and operate welding machines and other equipment
• Weld components in various positions using different welding techniques
• Inspect and test welds for quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Welder
• Proficiency in various welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Safely operates all tube welding mills to exceed or meet productivity and quality expectations. Along with setup and adjusting of all continuous tube weld mills.
• Advises and assists welding technicians on mill operations, setups, and adjustments. May make periodic inspection checks to determine type of adjustments.
• Completes destructive and nondestructive tube quality checks as required and necessary.
• Prepares various rolls, clamps, bars, and mandrels for changeovers or replacement.
• Installs and reconditions electrodes.
• Maintains perishable tooling and supplies as needed for the mill.
