Warehouse Manager

Seeking a Warehouse Manager for a global materials company supplying the maritime industry.

This opportunity will report to the GM and have a direct impact on SOP's and strategic operational function of this 35,000+ sq ft site.

Seeking a motivated warehouse professional who is organized and willing to accept the challenge of growing out this location as business continues to increase.

Job Title: Warehouse / Shipping Manager

Location: Houston, South East - Hobby Airport Area

What?s the Job?

Logistics Management :

Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of mooring lines, rigging equipment, and safety gear, ensuring traceability and adherence to maritime safety standards

Coordinate with global supply chain teams to manage stock levels and meet project deadlines for maritime clients

Implement warehouse layouts to maximize space utilization for bulky or irregularly shaped maritime equipment

Safety & Compliance :

Enforce strict safety protocols for handling heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and hazardous materials

Ensure compliance with international standards

Team Leadership :

Train and supervise warehouse staff on product knowledge, operational efficiency, and safety procedures

Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to meet high-volume demands during peak shipping seasons

Equipment & Reporting :

Maintain warehouse tools and machinery, including routine inspections and repairs

Generate reports on inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and incident logsRequired Skills & Qualifications

Experience :

5+ years in warehouse management, preferably in industrial, or heavy-equipment sectors

Familiarity with mooring systems, synthetic fibre ropes, or related maritime products is a big plus

Certifications :

Forklift operation license

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems

Knowledge of general safety regulations and ISO standards

Soft Skills :

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities to liaise with suppliers, port authorities, and clients.
