About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and creative video editor to join a freelance project focused on DIY and home decor content. This per-project contractor role has the potential to grow into a long-term partnership as the YouTube channel expands. The ideal candidate will enhance storytelling through dynamic video editing while collaborating to produce engaging content that resonates with the audience.

Responsibilities

• Edit YouTube videos (typically 1015 minutes long) with smooth cuts, pacing, and strong visual flow.
• Add dynamic effects, transitions, text overlays, and graphics as needed.
• Ensure high-quality sound design, including music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
• Collaborate on thumbnails and assist in optimizing videos for engagement.

Requirements

• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience in editing fast-paced, engaging YouTube content.
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, and timing to captivate viewers.
• Ability to incorporate feedback and meet deadlines consistently.
• Bonus: Familiarity with DIY/home decor niches or similar genres.
