Job Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians in providing compassionate care to our patients.
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas before procedures.
- Observe and provide basic care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Clean and maintain kennels, examination rooms, and other areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as instructed by the veterinary team.
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals during procedures and examinations.
- Observe patients and report any changes in behavior, appetite, or health to the veterinary team.
- Communicate with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner, providing education on basic animal care and treatment plans.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing.
- Document medical records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant.
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals as needed.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of basic animal care and medical terminology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
