Job Description
- The registered Sonographer will provide ultrasound services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department.
- Verifies patient and procedural information
- Prepares patients for exams; educates patients and family members.
- Performs exams; processes films and communicates and transmits reports to physicians.
- Complies and organizes data for Radiologist.
- Files films, stocks, prepares and cleans exam rooms
- May schedule patients for procedures and transport patients.
Requirements
- Certification- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in a least one of the advanced certifications, but preferably two.
- Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR) with in 7 days of hire
