Job Description
1 Resource Group is looking for a talented Tools and Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Equipment Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our client's equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and provide effective repair solutions.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Ensure all repairs are completed within company standards for quality and safety.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work completed on each piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and support staff to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic, specifically in heavy equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to equipment repair.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and diesel engines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellent workmanship.
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
