The Woodlands - Corporate, Securities, M&A Associate

Winstead PC is seeking a 2-3 year attorney for a position with our Corporate, Securities, and M&A practice group. This role is expected to primarily focus on M&A, private equity, joint venture and similar transactional work. Experience representing public companies in securities offerings and ongoing reporting obligations with the SEC is a plus, but not required. While this role is intended for our Woodlands office, we will also consider candidates interested in our Houston office. This attorney will join an experienced team of attorneys working on sophisticated transactional work and focused on long-term growth mentorship. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas: Corporate Transactions: Significant involvement in M&A and other transactional matters, including asset sales, equity sales, mergers, private equity transactions, reorganizations and other general corporate transactions. Public company experience is a plus, but not required. AmLaw 200 Experience: Familiarity with the pace and expectations of sophisticated law firm work. Strong academics: Candidates should have strong academic credentials. Writing skills: Candidates should be proficient at complex legal drafting and client communication. Why Winstead?
