Test Automation Engineer

Dew Software is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing automated test scripts, frameworks, and tools to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes. • Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute test plans and test cases
• Identify and report defects, track them to resolution, and verify fixes
• Create and maintain test data, test environments, and test documentation
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of test automation code
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in test automation or software development
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience with Agile development practices and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 2. At least 9+ years of practical experience in backend development, with a strong command of one or more programming languages like Python, Go or JAVA. 3. Proven experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems for high-traffic applications. 4. Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes). 5. Solid understanding of database systems and data modeling, as well as proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases. 6. Experience with RESTful API design and implementation, and understanding of microservices architecture. 7. Knowledge of security best practices and data protection measures for backend systems. 8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. 9. Excellent team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
