Technology Engineer - Kafka

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technology Engineer with strong experience in Kafka, OpenShift, Jenkins , and cloud-native applications to join a high-performing tech team within a leading bank. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and container orchestration tools.

• Manage, maintain, and optimize Kafka-based streaming platforms in a high-throughput environment
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and related tools
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
• Automate infrastructure on public cloud platforms like Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Ensure system resilience and monitoring in production environments
• Implement best practices in security engineering, compliance, and data privacy
• Work with event-driven architectures, cloud-native systems, and GitOps principles
• Drive innovation and architecture design within agile delivery squads

• Kafka : Installation, tuning, and support in high-scale environments
• Containers & Orchestration : Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes
• CI/CD : Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub, Kaniko, Shipwright
• Cloud Platforms : Azure or OCI
• Scripting & OS : Linux administration and shell scripting
• Event Streaming Tools : Flink, Kafka Streams, Apache Spark (good to have)
• DevOps : Git, GitOps, automation tooling
• Security & Compliance : Encryption, anonymization, and secure logging standards
• Soft Skills : Strong communication, analytical thinking, agile methodology familiarity, and a self-starter attitude

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
