We are looking for a superstar to join our company as a Project Manager! As part of the Professional Services Team, you will help us grow our ability to deploy and configure credentialing management system implementations. You will manage projects that deploy complex systems on time, on budget, and to a high degree of fidelity to our customers' requirements. You will manage complex customer relationships, balance team workloads, and interface among various departments, including Customer Support, Product Management, Product Development, Business Development, and executive leadership. This is a senior position, and our ideal candidate has considerable experience in project management, business analysis, and team leadership. You will need to show that you can develop and follow operational playbooks maintain consistent delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities Duties can be organized among the following categories:

Client management
- Build trust with our client community as someone who can make a tangible impact on their business;
- Write clear client-facing communications such as analytical summaries, status reports, agendas, and meeting minutes to achieve shared understanding among stakeholders;
- Prepare and send accurate and timely project invoices;
- Hold clients accountable for activity that our team depends upon to succeed;
- Coordinate client and third party meetings to align purpose and manage expectations;
- Translate technical issues to non-technical clients to ensure they make good decisions based on available information; and
- Write statements of work that create realistic budgets and timelines for new initiatives, whether new business or add-on engagements.
Project management
- Set project expectations at engagement outset regarding scope, budget, risk, and timelines;
- Develop project plans that identify critical milestones, deliverables and resources;
- Secure resources to complete tasks necessary to your projects;
- Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure predictable and compliant delivery;
- Convene internal discussions to establish common purpose and align expectations; and
- Manage change to avoid escalations where realities are at risk of diverging from expectations.
Team leadership
- Contribute to process development to ensure consistency in the quality of our deliverables and efficiency of our standard operating procedures;
- Coach junior staff in client management and project management skills;
- Interface with other departments, including Customer Support, Product Management, Product Development, Finance, and Infrastructure to ensure effective hand-offs and shared purpose; and
- Evangelize best practices for improve delivery, profitability, employee satisfaction and customer success.
Location: This position is located in our Arlington VA office. For the first 90 days, you will be in office, after which you may negotiate one day / week to work from home.

Requirements
Project Manager Requirements and Qualifications To succeed, you'll need the following background:
- Proven success at managing diverse projects, including large, complex engagements and smaller, more discrete initiatives so that you can both manage your own initiatives and coach your team to improve;
- Solid foundation in business analysis, including workflow diagrams, data dictionaries, and software requirements specifications so that you can both understand your client's requirements and coach your team to ask better questions and capture nuances;
- World-class writing skills to produce polished, succinct, and presentable communications that clarify challenging issues, promote effective decision-making, and capture key issues for future reference;
- Software implementation experience, in which the delivery results not just in software development but the adaptation of existing software to new uses; and
- Technical self-sufficiency to navigate a complex operating environment that navigates among knowledge management, project management, and document management systems.
As a bonus, the candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in the credentialing community, including certification, licensure, and accreditation.
- Grounding in the principles of adult learning, competency management, and high stakes assessment; and
- Industry thought leadership, demonstrated through conference presentations, industry awards, and community forum participation.

Salary Range: 110K - 145K, depending on experience.
