Meet The Team

The Data Center, Internet and Cloud Infrastructure team at Cisco is part of the global engineering organization responsible for developing networking products targeting Communications Service Providers and Webscalers. Within this organization, the Web TME team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) to define, drive, and deliver high-density, high-performance solutions for Web and AI infrastructure use cases built around our flagship Cisco 8000 platform.

Your Impact

The Technical Marketing Engineer will be focused on driving solutions and business requirements with customers, sales, and engineering, enabling solutions for Web and AI infrastructure use cases built around Cisco 8000 platform. TME will collaborate with our largest and most influential customers with effective communication to deliver clear guidance about our product and solutions. This role is highly dynamic and fast paced where the interlock between the customer, the field, and engineering are critical as we align our features, timelines, and scale, based on the customer business requirements helping us to drive our development and roadmap. In addition, through technology and product innovation, the ideal candidate will guide our portfolio's direction and provide architectural thought leadership to the industry and our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors +7 years or Masters +4 years' experience in designing, deploying, operating and troubleshooting large scale production networks.

Experience in configuration Protocols such as, ISIS/OSPF, BGP, L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, Segment Routing, IPv6, MPLS-LDP/RSVP-TE, Multicast and VXLAN.

Deep knowledge of network platforms and packet forwarding architectures.

Experience interacting directly with customers as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and support.

Strong written communication skills and the ability to create blogs and white papers for publication on Cisco's website.

Ability to work in a cross functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing data centers and AI infrastructure front-end and back-end solutions.

Experience in network programmability (e.g. OpenConfig, NetConf/gRPC, YANG) and scripting language such as Python.

Experience of Cloud and virtualization technologies

Experience in using and administering Unix/Linux operating system

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Datacenter or Routing & Switching.
