We aim to revolutionize the admissions process by providing school counsellors with AI-powered tools that illuminate each student's true story, creating a fairer and more equitable system. As a technical founder at AdmitSmart, you will be at the forefront of developing our platform, taking on strategic and hands-on responsibilities that directly influence the future of college admissions. Your work will shape the user experience and set the foundation for our technology and team culture.

• Lead Feature Development: Design, build, and deploy critical features of the AdmitSmart platform, from initial concept to final implementation.
• Collaborate on Technical Roadmap: Work closely with the CEO to define and execute the technical roadmap, including architectural decisions and technology selection.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Champion best practices in software development, focusing on clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Full-Stack Engineering: Utilize your expertise in front-end and back-end technologies to build a seamless and robust platform.
• AI Integration: Apply generative AI technologies, such as LLMs (GPT, LLaMa, Claude), and integrate them with tools like OpenAI, Azure AI, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex.
• Data Science & Design: Leverage data science to inform decisions and ensure an intuitive, user-centred design across all features.
• Agile Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, taking on multiple roles and driving impact in a small, dynamic team.

We're selecting the ideal tech stack for our platform, focusing on applying existing generative AI technologies. This role is for you if you excel at turning complex AI requirements into innovative solutions. Key skills include:

• Generative AI Expertise: Experience with LLMs like GPT, LLaMa, and Claude.
• Python & APIs: Proficiency in Python and APIs from OpenAI, Azure AI, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex.
• Full-Stack Deployment: Balance between rapid prototyping and full-stack deployment.
• AI Solution Development: Proven track record in developing real-world AI solutions.
• Coding & Prompt/Flow Engineering: Skill in integrating AI services and APIs.
• Defensive Design Strategy: Ability to create secure, FERPA-compliant AI systems.

Requirements

• This is a founding role in a startup; cash compensation will be less than 50% of market cash compensation but with a significant equity stake in the business.
• Proficiency as a full-stack engineer with a strong intuitive design sense, capable of understanding both the big picture and fine details.
• Skilled in both front-end and back-end development, building intuitive interfaces and scalable systems.
• Experience thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Up-to-date knowledge of AI technologies, with experience integrating the latest advancements into practical, impactful solutions.
• Passion for data science, with an understanding of its potential to transform outcomes.
