Job Duties and Qualifications

Under general supervision, applies theories, principles and practices to the research and development of new and improved products, processes and procedures. Performs routine research and experimentation at the direction of technology leadership. Communicates occasionally with technical client. Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity. Considers security requirements in new product / technology design and development. Responds as directed to customers needs. Participates in professional societies. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined. Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering or similar discipline and 4 years of related experience. Completion of a masters or PHD in Science or Engineering is preferred.
