Job Duties and Qualifications

Under broad direction, manages US indirect taxes to include sales & use tax, unclaimed property and severance tax on a multi-state basis across multiple legal entities

Responsible for audit defense / controversy strategies, including audit design, technical research, audit workpaper review and audit appeals

Directly manage sales/use tax compliance team

Responsible for tax technical research/analysis to support tax positions taken

Special Projects

M&A transaction support

Systems experience including SAP/Vertex preferred

CCH/RIA or similar research tool experience required

Responsible for mentoring, career development and coaching of personnel

Excellent analytical, problem-solving ability, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in larger SALT team environment

Requires an undergraduate degree in accounting or related field and 7+ years of US indirect tax experience

Applicable professional certification preferred
