Tax Associate

Choate?s nationally ranked tax attorneys specialize in complex middle-market transactions. They focus on advising leading private equity funds, venture capital funds and their portfolio companies in mergers and acquisitions, LBOs, growth equity investments, recapitalizations, carve-outs, sales and divestitures, and all aspects of fund formation and capital raising. Our expertise includes extensive experience in cross-border transactions between the US and Australia, Canada, China, France, India, Ireland, the UK, and others. Job Functions / Responsibilities Advise Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, as well as their portfolio companies, on transactional tax matters. Work on M&A and fund formation activities within a sophisticated transactional tax practice. Provide exceptional client service and collaborate with team members. Qualifications 4-6 years of tax experience, ideally in a large law firm. Excellent professional judgment. Highly motivated to provide exceptional client service. Strong desire for personal and professional growth in a collaborative environment. Experience advising on transactional tax matters, especially related to Private Equity and Venture Capital. LLM is preferred. Schedule The Firm is currently operating in a hybrid model, with the requirement that everyone should be in the office at least three four days per week. This schedule is subject to change dependent on Firm, department and client needs, and will be routinely evaluated. Work Authorization Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by the Firm (either now or in the future.).
