Systems Engineer

XMSTART is always looking to add experienced and strategic full-time Systems Engineers to our team, in Chantilly, VA or Washington, DC . These positions are 100% onsite.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

System Design and Development

• Analyze user needs and system requirements.
• Develop system architectures and specifications.
• Integrate hardware and software components to create functional systems.

System Implementation

• Install, configure, and test system components.
• Develop and maintain documentation, such as technical specifications and user manuals.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems.

System Maintenance and Optimization

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Implement updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.
• Optimize system processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and project managers.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to end-users.

Compliance and Security

• Ensure systems comply with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Implement security measures to protect system integrity and data.

Qualifications:

• Technical experience with Intelligence Community (IC) analytic tools
• Familiarity with system development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with systems integration and configuration.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting.
• Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and network protocols.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
