Systems Administrator IV-SA4 (Contingent)

This is a contingent position based on the successful award of the contract.

Remote work options are negotiable post-award.

We are looking for a Systems Administrator IV to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Port Hueneme, CA. The qualified candidate will be required to perform the following:

• Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.
• Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
• Install and configure operating systems and software, routinely testing for issues.
• Provide technical direction to IT support staff.
• Ensure constant availability of technical resources.
• Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
• Write custom scripts to automate tasks and reduce human intervention.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in network systems administration.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and PKI implementation.
• Experience managing virtual environments, especially with VMWare Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of storage backups management.
• Experience in designing and configuring network solutions.
• Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
• Certification in one of the following: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH.
• Interim DoD Secret clearance required to start, with a Top-Secret clearance needed.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
