System Integration Engineer

Auria is actively seeking a System Integration Engineer to support developing and deploying the Protected Tactical Enterprise System (PTES) in Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will perform integration tasks, ensuring that different software and hardware components work together seamlessly within the larger PTES architecture. The main goal is to integrate various technologies and subsystems into a cohesive solution that meets the technical requirements of the program. Occasional travel to customer and government sites is expected with this position.

Essential Functions:

• System IntegrationDesign and implement methods for connecting various systems, including software applications, databases, and hardware devices.
• Testing and ValidationsConduct tests to ensure that integrated systems function properly and troubleshoot integration issues, including performance bottlenecks, compatibility problems, and security vulnerabilities.
• Continuous ImprovementIdentify technical debt, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing systems, proposing and implementing solutions to optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Documentation and CommunicationProduce essential system documentation and effectively communicate complex technical details to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Collaboration and Continuous ImprovementCollaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, stay updated with industry trends, and incorporate feedback for ongoing system refinement. Liaise with stakeholders, including customers and end-users, to gather feedback and ensure the system meets operational requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)
• Experience with the development process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
• Experience working with API development, and working with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud platforms
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a capacity to predict, identify, and solve issues efficiently with minimal oversight from program management.
• Ability to create clear and comprehensive system documentation, including design descriptions, requirements specifications, test plans, user guides, and other engineering documents.
• Familiarization with DOD space systems and subsystems, including systems, products, and interfaces across ground and space components.
• Familiarity with other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and how they interact with software engineering.

• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills that provide the capability to work independently and within a team.
• Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance (required U.S. Citizenship)
• Familiarity with automated test and test-driven development concepts, tools, and languages.

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including the use of industry-standard MBSE tools and methodologies to develop and document complex system architectures and requirements.
• Experience performing other engineering disciplines (systems, hardware, test, configuration management, and quality engineering) and interacting with software engineering in that role.
• Experience with modern IT infrastructure capabilities, including virtualization, cloud deployment, and containerization.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence.

Salary Range: $94,000 - $145,000

• Engineer Level 3: Typically, a Bachelor's degree and six or more years of relevant experience, Master's degree with three years of experience
• Engineer Level 4: Typically, a Bachelor's degree and 11 or more years of experience or Master's with eight or more years of experience
