System Development Manager, Amazon Payments

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

10+ years experience with hardware, firmware, and software, as well as their combined architecture

Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems or web services.

Experience in managing large scale infrastructure and automation

Fundamentals in computer science

Hands on experience of building large scale systems using AWS technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Record of hiring great team members and developing leaders

Communicates well with non-technical leaders and engineers

Authors roadmap documents, project plans, root cause analysis, and team development documents

Knowledge and operational experience with the design of server, storage, and/or infrastructure products

Thorough understanding of enterprise information systems

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business and software development teams

Ability to prioritize multiple demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines

Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies

Experience developing in Python for similar modern programming language, such as C++, Java, C#, or Ruby.

Hands on experience of 5+ years building scalable systems on a relational database, preferably Oracle ERP with high availability
