Survey Technician - Construction & Surveying

Are you a detail-oriented survey professional with a passion for precision and data? Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-calculations for construction-related tasks.
• Download as-staked and topographic data, generate contours, calculate volumes, and create clear, accurate exhibits.
• Review incoming and outgoing data to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
• Prepare accuracy reports for the Project Manager.
• Maintain and prepare surveying and engineering CAD and Civil 3D files.
• Collaborate closely with field crews to maximize efficiency and project output.
• Perform other related office and project support duties as needed.

Specific Duties:

• Develop topographic maps and aerial mapping outputs.
• Process topography shots and aerial targets.
• Conduct survey calculations to support construction staking and field crews.
• Analyze survey control data and boundary calculations.
• Research record survey documents to establish control for mapping or staking projects.
• Prepare exhibits, spreadsheets, corner record documents, and ALTA survey maps.

Requirements Job Qualifications:

• Education/Experience: High school graduate with some college or trade school background; survey experience preferred.
• Skills/Knowledge: Proficient in survey software and processing capabilities (e.g., Trimble systems). Strong understanding of solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and related software.
