Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurses to join our team in Austin, TX. This position is perfect for an experienced RN with a passion for acute care, patient monitoring, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

• Provide direct clinical care to patients on the surgical telemetry unit.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement nursing care plans, and document progress.
• Monitor telemetry equipment and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, and provide patient education.
• Support pre- and post-operative care, including discharge planning and patient recovery monitoring.

Requirements

• Education : Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in acute care settings.
• Licensure : Valid Permanent Multi-State RN License or Compact State License.
• If licensed in another compact state, must obtain a Texas Multi-State RN License within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications :
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

• Experience in telemetry or cardiac monitoring.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record systems (e.g., EPIC).
