Job Description


We are currently seeking a qualified individual to lead an underground utilities and/or concrete structure crew. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to travel, and dependability are a must.

Job Details

  • Compensation commensurate with experience
  • 50 or more hours per week (no weekend work)
  • Some projects require being out of town Monday-Friday (home on weekends)
  • Transportation provided from Kearney, NE when working out of town
  • Paid travel time
  • Hotel paid for by the company
  • Nightly per diem for meals when working out of town
  • Company provided pickup truck and cell phone
  • Year-round employment (no winter layoffs)

Requirements

  • Over 3 years of experience leading a crew in sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer installation and/or the building of concrete structures such as box culverts and storm sewer structures.
  • Significant experience running excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.
  • Must be able to independently lead, manage and train a 5?6-person crew.
  • Ability to manage projects safely and efficiently.
  • Must maintain professionalism throughout each project during interaction with city employees, engineers, and the public.
  • Responsible for entering and tracking manhours worked and production quantities daily.
  • Responsible for effective documentation of performance feedback or issues.
  • Responsible for the daily safety of your crew.
  • Previous experience completing projects in a variety of weather conditions required.
  • Willingness to perform labor tasks in the field with crews daily.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds individually or as a team when carrying loads heavier than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl throughout each day.
  • Willingness to abide by all safety rules. Safety training is provided by the company.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment (post-offer) drug screen.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
