Job Description
HealingUS Centers is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. Your primary goal will be to create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for clients as they navigate their recovery journeys.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting clients with daily living activities and practical needs.
Monitoring client behavior and emotional well-being during treatment sessions.
Facilitating group discussions and activities that promote engagement and recovery.
Documenting client progress and reporting any concerns to clinical staff.
Ensuring the safety and confidentiality of all clients at the facility.
Providing encouragement and support to clients and their families.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in substance abuse or mental health preferred.
Experience in a healthcare or substance abuse treatment setting is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations.
Compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards individuals in recovery.
