We are seeking a strategic-thinking, data-driven Strategist with a strong finance background to partner with small business owners and their teams. This role focuses on leveraging financial data to uncover actionable insights, drive key performance indicator (KPI)-focused decision-making, and build scalable strategies that propel businesses forward. As a trusted advisor, you will craft tailored solutions, empowering clients to achieve clarity, profitability, and long-term growth.

• Strategic Leadership: Help business owners clarify their vision into high-level strategic plans, conducting scenario analyses and competitive landscape research to guide clients through critical growth stages (Founder, Operator, Asset, or Expansion).
• Financial Expertise: Use the Ronin Standard Business Model (SBM) to translate strategic plans into financial projections, track and manage growth initiatives, analyze sales channel profitability, operating leverage and capital structure.
• Business Drivers & KPI's: Identify business drivers and track KPI's that align with client goals, using data from business information systems including accounting software (QBO), inventory management systems and CRM's.
• Data-Driven Insights: Synthesize complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations. Translate metrics into strategic roadmaps that empower owners to make informed decisions and optimize performance.
• Client Partnership: Build deep, trust-based relationships with business owners, acting as an embedded member of their leadership team. Lead discovery sessions to align solutions with client needs and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Research & Innovation: Conduct persistent, in-depth research to identify market trends, growth opportunities, and competitive advantages. Provide insights to support fundraising, market expansion, or product launches.
• Scalable Systems: Create repeatable, delegable processes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability, ensuring clients are equipped for sustainable growth.
• Community Impact: Contribute to Ronin's workshops, thought leadership, and community initiatives, sharing expertise to elevate our network of growth-minded entrepreneurs.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in strategic consulting, financial analysis, or leadership roles, with a proven track record of working with small businesses or startups. Experience in financial modeling, KPI development, or managerial accounting is essential.
• Skills:
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analytics (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, or BI tools like Tableau).
• Strong research persistence, with a knack for uncovering insights from market and financial data.
• Outstanding communication skills to translate technical insights into compelling narratives for non-financial stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for partnering with entrepreneurs to drive measurable results.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred.
