Job Description

This role provides design and drafting support for above-ground storage tanks and storage tank repair parts to project managers (PM's), shop, and field crews.

Expectations :

Be capable of working independently, demonstrating proficiency in a diverse set of responsibilities with minimal guidance.
Have a deep understanding of API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, OSHA, NFPA, and other relevant technical standards.
Be adept in mathematics to accurately compute various geometry and trigonometry parameters, without being reliant on CAD layout.
Respond to queries from the field foreman regarding code issues such as drawing inconsistencies, weld spacing, material types, etc.
Translate client specifications into tank drawings and guarantee adherence to all standard tank details.
Provide assistance to the Shop Manager by posting burn table drawings when required.
Provide assistance to the Technical and Shop Managers in creating schedules for drafting during after-hours and weekends in situations where meeting drawing deadlines becomes challenging.
Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively relate to and work harmoniously with field/shop personnel, management, and the project managerial staff.
Have a basic understanding of excel spreadsheets, at the very least.
Become proficient in, utilize, and actively contribute to the enhancement of our storage drawings and associated tools.

This role will based at our fabrication facility in Loveland, CO and will report to our Technical Manager, Daniel Pyewell.
