Real rewards for real work: We offer generous compensation packages that recognize hard work and excellence Job Description: We are seeking a Staff Attorney to join the McDermott Transactional Services Group to be placed in either our New York, Boston, Chicago, or Washington, DC office. Experience: Proven record of professional excellence and achievement with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney in good standing Experience conducting contract reviews/due diligence, particularly for M&A transactions, and preparation of disclosure schedules required. Contract drafting and negotiation experience is preferred but not required Experience with AI-based contract review software platforms preferred. Experience in real estate and/or healthcare industry desired but not essential. Demonstrated record of excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as a team member required. Experience working effectively within a deadline-driven environment required. License/Certifications: Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction to which you are applying. Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong project management skills, including ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to completion; Positive client-service attitude; Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills; Exercises good judgment; Ability to issue spot and summarize key points succinctly; Ability to be flexible and adaptive; Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information; and Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. This is a non-partner track position.
