Staff Accountant

Isotopia is a global biotech company manufacturing key ingredients for pharmaceutical cancer drugs. At our US headquarters in Indianapolis, we will be next door to our key customers, delivering our products just in time, each day, every day. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be part of a family, a team, dedicated to our mission to deliver on our covenant with our customers.

The position is full-time but offers you flexibility in time and location. The company has an office / manufacturing location in Westfield, Indiana, with workspace allocated to your position. However, you will have the flexibility to work from home, when needed, and set your own hours, within reason. You will need to spend most days on site to facilitate teamwork, for relationship building within the organization, training, and the hand-off of documentation.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Using ERP system, enter accounting related information into the chart accounts for AR and AP transactions
• Reconcile bank statements
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures
• Review financial statements and accounting documents for accuracy and legal compliance
• Assist corporate accounting and its external accounting firm, PWC, in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Prepare documents for audits.
• Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
• Work with company leadership to develop, establish, and manage materials management, procurement and accounting procedures necessary for effective operations
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
• Perform monthly bank settlements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MSc is a plus
• Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting

• Knowledge of an accounting information system is a plus
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and communication skills
