Position Summary:

In this role you will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Responsible for managing production planning and coordination with Manufacturing, Material Planning, Program Management, and other functions.

Responsibilities:

Manage Master Production Schedule.

Manage and coordinate daily and weekly production plans.

Forecast shipments for month, quarter and year with recurring updates.

Maintain and present On-Time Delivery (OTD) reports.

Plans and establishes operational objectives for the team with some impact on department results.

Develop and maintain material release plans.

Provide Material Planning and the Stockroom dates for part and/or kit delivery.

Develop and maintain status sheets and Work-in-Progress (WIP) tools.

Provide status for program managers and operations leadership.

Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors for accurate status information.

Support new bids and proposals by providing historical data.

Develop and maintain charts and graphs on the key metrics for operations.

Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

Plans and establishes operational objectives with a team within a clearly defined job area.

Delivers operational results that have impact on the achievement of departmental results.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. Masters Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 5 years of prior related production planning experience.

Prior experience with all Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheet experience - Experience with creating graphs, using and creating formula's; and sending the data to PowerPoint presentations.

Experience with gantt charts and/or Microsoft Project.

Prior experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and resources simultaneously.

Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
