Cisco is the market leader in security products and technologies that include ASA Firewall, Next Gen Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Sensor, Email and Web Security Appliances. Security Business Group (SBG) of Cisco Systems (India) is looking to hire experienced engineers and Technical Leaders for the Security Services Platform Development Team.
What You'll Do
Responsible for Testing new platforms and platform capabilities for Next Generation Security Platforms for Cisco, a market leader in security products and technologies.
Work closely with Testers, developers and product management teams at various stages such as product starting from idea conceptualization till delivering it to customer.
Extremely motivated engineer and passionate about learning and contributing to the team and the business with "can do" attitude
Develop/Deploy large scale systems that run complex features in high bandwidth environments
Strong communication skills, teamwork and a confirmed ability to handle challenging high priority tasks.
Manual and Automate Networking/Security features, Troubleshoot and validate software defects in components that range from kernel modules to networking and security applications.
Work closely with a cross functional team and drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/software engineers on designing most complex test plans/scenarios/deployments.
Write Test plans and automation and uplift the existing automation and test suites to make it more robust.
Review and sign off on requirements documents.
Dedication to Quality: Ability to ensure and commit to a higher standard of quality than usual in the face of time to market pressures
Who You'll Work With
You will work with the young, energetic & dynamic security development team. You will also have to closely work with the TL's & PE's who defines the strategies for the further products.
Who You Are
Required skills:
BSEE/ MSEE/CS with 6 to 10 years of experience in a software Testing.
Good knowledge of CPU architectures.
Thorough knowledge of Networking, OSI Layers
Strong Programming skills in Python, and shell scripts.
Strong problem-solving skills and debugging the failures.
Should have a solid understanding of SW quality and processes.
Knowledge of using Traffic generator tools and performance testing
Highly Desired skills:
Thorough knowledge of Network security concepts, secure network design/deployments
Hands-on experience with working on Firewall, IPS, Security management, Routers, and Switches
Previous experience in testing Networking and security products.
Experience with Crypto functionalities, TLS/SSL
Experience in Automation, Programming skills in Python/TCL etc.
Ability to debug and troubleshoot network and OS issues
Traffic and Stress tests and good with Tgens like IXIA/Spirent/BreakingPoint
