Social Media Moderator

The House of Mercier is excited to announce an opening for a Social Media Moderator with no prior experience necessary, allowing you to work remotely from the comfort of your own home. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals eager to learn and contribute to fostering a safe and engaging online community. In this role, you will manage user-generated content across various social media platforms, ensuring that all interactions adhere to community guidelines while promoting a positive atmosphere.

• Assist in monitoring and reviewing user-generated content across different social media platforms to ensure compliance with community standards.
• Evaluate posts, comments, and messages, making decisions regarding content approval, flagging, or removal.
• Learn to document and report policy violations, including spam and inappropriate behavior.
• Respond to user inquiries under supervision, providing clarification and support regarding community rules.
• Work closely with the social media team to gain insights into user engagement and content trends.
• Maintain records of moderation actions to support performance analysis.
• Stay informed on basic trends and best practices in social media moderation.

Requirements

• Strong written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• A willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced digital environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to assess content as per guidelines.
• Good problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
• Basic familiarity with social media platforms is preferred but not essential.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
