SMWDC Advanced Tactical Trainer

Sigma Defense is seeking a SMWDC Advanced Tactical Trainer to become part of our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate is a former, qualified Surface Warfare Officer and Tactical Action Officer with at least 12 years of surface navy experience and proven expertise in combat systems with the ability to manage combat systems training programs, analysis, and development. We need the rare skill set developed throughout a Naval Career to support the surface, air, and mine warfare mission areas, enhancing warfighting readiness, and increasing the lethality and tactical proficiency of the Surface Force.
The selected candidate will become part of a dedicated and skilled team that offers support across four lines of operations. This includes providing individual, unit-level, and group instruction, conducting training assessments, assisting with the Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) program, and offering operational support. Additionally, the role involves reviewing, updating, or developing operational or tactical doctrine. They will support the performance analysis of surface ship tactical readiness and operational capability and make direct contributions to the enhancement of warfare training.

Requirements

• 12+ years of Navy experience as a Surface Warfare Officer.

• Surface ship tactical qualification such as Force TAO or ship TAO.
• 5+ years of experience in surface ship tactical training to include Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) requirements from Basic Phase to Integrated Phase.
• Experience with surface ship Combat Systems such as the AEGIS Combat System and Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS).

Personnel Clearance Level:

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain higher clearances.
• Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

• Provide support through the four operational lines by means of individual, unit-level, and group instruction as well as training assessments.
• Support the Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) program, providing operational support, and reviewing, updating, or developing operational or tactical doctrines.
• Assist in analyzing the performance of surface ship tactical readiness and operational effectiveness.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
