Precision Planting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Precision Planting Technician. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including working in the shop, testing software issues, and operating machinery to test issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision agriculture.
Your Impact
Machine Maintenance
Perform assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks on Precision Planting equipment.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.
Testing Software Issues
Test software issues on Precision Planting equipment locally.
Utilize troubleshooting techniques to diagnose software-related problems and document findings.
Provide timely feedback to the development team regarding software performance and potential improvements.
Operation of Machinery for Issue Testing
Operate machinery to simulate field conditions and test software issues.
Monitor equipment performance and collect data to identify and replicate issues.
Work closely with the engineering team to develop testing protocols and ensure accurate results.
Your Experience and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair, preferably in an agricultural setting.
Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
