Requirements

Sheet Metal General Foreman: This is where you come in.

We're looking for a Sheet Metal General Foreman to lead the execution of all sheet metal, refrigeration piping, equipment changeouts, and startup support for SSP owner-direct projects in the MMFS Oregon region. This role serves as the single point of contact for project execution and turnover, ensuring successful delivery to the customer. The General Foreman will collaborate closely with both MacDonald-Miller teams and clients to provide technical guidance, support bidding efforts, and ensure all work meets MMFS quality standards.

Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:

  • Workforce Development & Team Leadership
    • Set clear expectations and provide daily guidance to field crews.
    • Coach and support senior field staff in their growth and performance.
    • "Protect the house" by identifying deficiencies, streamlining processes, and safeguarding project margins.
  • Customer & Business Partnership
    • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Project Managers, and Service AOMs.
    • Address internal and external customer concerns, propose solutions to enhance the customer experience, and resolve issues promptly.
    • Manage warranty issues, identify new business opportunities, and support job setup and execution.
  • Technical Supervision & Support
    • Lead field efforts in retrofitting, installing, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems.
    • Plan, schedule, and direct technical fieldwork.
    • Participate in MM's Technical Training Committee and stay current with vendor certifications to keep the team's skills sharp.
  • Operational Delivery & Continuous Improvement
    • Perform advanced Refrigeration, Startup, and Warranty tasks when needed.
    • Ensure all licenses (yours and your crew's) remain up to date.
    • Spot patterns and recommend improvements that boost efficiency and results.
  • Commitment to MMFS Safety Culture
    • Lead with a safety-first mindset in every task.
    • Enforce MMFS safety standards and foster a culture of health and safety across the team.

    The Sheet Metal General Foreman reports to Brent Campbell, Special Projects Operations Manager , and plays a key role on a dynamic, collaborative team driving impactful projects that support company growth. This high-visibility position offers regular interaction with teams across all departments, providing a unique opportunity to build strong relationships and make meaningful contributions throughout the organization.

    Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?

    You should have?

    • A BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
    • A valid LEB license
    • EPA Section 608 certification (including A2L/A3 qualifications)
    • 10+ years of related industry experience (preferred)
    • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles (a plus)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project; experience with SharePoint is a bonus
