Service Technician - Shop

The Service Technician is responsible for safely providing high quality and effective repair of equipment, and also provides excellent customer service, maintains professionalism, and ensures appropriate and detailed records for time, parts, supplies, purchases and repairs.

Job Location: 3402 N NE Loop 323, Tyler, Texas

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Safely and properly operate and inspect machines, vehicles, and/or engines to diagnose defects.
• Must be capable of removal and installation of components by following the appropriate service manual.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all components of equipment including but not limited to engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, and electrical codes.
• Work well with co-workers and assist other mechanics when needed.
• Provide timely work on each job to ensure satisfaction.
• Formally document the work done on the equipment.
• Complete work assignments and assigned training within the allotted time and secure and maintain appropriate licensing.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Prefer 3-5 year's service experience in the heavy equipment/construction repair industry.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must own proper tools to perform required repairs.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Maintains good work habits and presents a favorable business image toward customers served by the company.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Existing knowledge & willingness to learn about the products we sell.
